GoDaddy.com Down (Updated)

GoDaddy.com Logo

All GoDaddy.com services are currently down due to a Denial of Service attack from members of the hacker group Anonymous. This is affecting domains registered at, websites hosted at, and email hosted at GoDaddy.com.  This also affects all domains that are using GoDaddy.com’s DNS services. GoDaddy.com’s phone service is currently offline as well.

If your domain is registered through GoDaddy.com, or you are using GoDaddy.com’s DNS Servers for your domain (or any other GoDaddy.com services), this would adversely affect your Web Hosting services at Scarab Media.

GoDaddy.com is aware of the problem is currently working at getting it resolved. You can view GoDaddy.com’s Twitter feed at https://twitter.com/GoDaddy for updates as to when their services will again be available.

Update: The majority of GoDaddy.com’s services have been restored as of 4:00 pm PDT.

Update Two: GoDaddy.com has officially commented that yesterday’s outage was due to internal Routing issues. GoDaddy outage was caused by router snafu, not DDoS attack.
